Diagnostic Checks
Have you had an error code appear on your dashboard? Or a warning light appear? These are usually the first signs of a potentially bigger problem, so ignoring it could cost you a lot of time and money in the future. With our new diagnostics check service, we can help identify any issues early for you and with our mobile service, we can come wherever you are.
What Is A Diagnostic Check?
A standard diagnostic check will inform us of any issues that your vehcile may be experiencing. Diagnostic checks usually focus around the engine, but on certain vehicles, they will be able to identify issues with light, tyres etc. More specific issues it may be able to identify is poor performance from the fuel injection system, low engine coolant levels, poor ignition timing and low or high rpm levels.
How Often Should I Have A Diagnostics Check & Why?
We recommend a yearly diagnostics check, although the truth is, many drivers don't do this. This is usually because drivers don't realise how beneficial a diagnostics check can be and they don't realise how much information it can actually give about your vehicle. Having a check done regularly can really be the difference between having to pay for repairs and identifying issues early enough before they become a bigger problem.
How Long Does A Diagnostics Check Take?
These checks will usually take around 30 minutes, however, depending on the issue, number of issues etc, these times can vary. At the end of your appointment, you will also be issued with a diagnostics report with all our findings from the check.
